Today My Future Changes! :)

As of today my last day of work at my current company will be Friday October 19th. Some may seem confused about this but me, I'm so extremely happy that I cannot even begin to put it into words. Where I work now has been a great company, but I find myself in a sort of rut and now I need to get out of this. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, all I know is that I want to do something different, I'm sick of the office and my desk. I want to see different people everyday and just plain do something different, I'm to young to sit at this desk for the rest of life especially when I can sit here day after day and know that this is just not me.

All of these thoughts have been building inside of me for awhile, a change has been needed in my life. I'm lucky enough for the first time in my life to have a man in my life to lean on at this time. When I explained to him that I wasn't sure what I wanted to do just that I wanted to do something else, he did seem a little hesitant however he smiled anyway and told me to do what makes me happy, make sure I really think about it first and he will support me 100%, he assured me that we will be OK, and we will get by and that's all I needed to hear from him. Now granted I wont be doing much shopping lately which is a small bummer, but never the less I'm so excited to be stepping out into the world and having nothing be planned or set up for me yet.

I'm hoping to spend some time with my son, some time that I always feel like I miss, and I'm really hoping to find a job that doesn't pull me from him as much as my regular 9-5. I don't know whats ahead of me, I just know I love this feeling in my heart right now, not knowing the future but knowing that I will be okay.

I Have a Blog Responsibility!!

I continuously forget the fact that I have a blog. A blog that I promised would be updated at least every once in a while. We have done a lot lately like 6 months pictures, which meant family pictures this time as well, we interviewed a babysitter :(, signed up for the next semester of school and we know attend more soccer games then David Beckum!

So lets see: 6 Months pictures, they are awesome! I just got them 2 days ago and they are beautiful, I cant stop looking at them. Soon everyone will get copies of them I just haven't got to that yet. If you would like to see these pictures and haven't yet just go to https://www.smilesbywire.com/home.asp?AC=LTPP0146104579JCP

Put in my name: Danielle Gridley and you can look at all the pictures as well as download them or order them.

We interviewed a babysitter!!! Man oh man what a nightmare. So I'm looking for someone to start watching Tyler starting in January so my thought was I would find someone and get to know them before the fact, and let Tyler get to know them. So I answered a ladies ad on craigslist who said she has worked in the school district for 7 years and was a foster parent for a year. OK for future reference you are not a foster parent for babysitting your dead beat sisters kid a lot for a year! Anyway we walk into this ladies house which first of all is a small one bedroom apartment and the first thing I see is ooh the cat! Yeah I don't think so, the cat is also only an indoor cat which means (litter box) and in the corner of this ladies living room is a huge blow up corona bottle!! C'mon are you really thinking you are going to get someone to let you watch there kids here!!! You are crazy! Sitting above the air conditioner in her living room is a patch that says "To much sex is still not enough" OK, that did it for me! We were nice and continued the interview but on our way to our car Joaquin looked at me like I was on crack "He is not going there" Like I was even still considering that! It was a bad experience to say the least!

Lets see.....And school I'm signed up for school next year, however this semester I'm taking a real estate class and planning on getting my real estate license after that. I need to try different things and I think that would be something that I would enjoy!

And when it comes to soccer: Joaquin is now a part of three soccer teams, which means three soccer games a week. Tyler and I don't have to go to all of these, however my son loves to go to these games. I think he just likes that fact of playing on the ground outside, so because he loves it we spend a lot of time at soccer games. Joaquin normally plays Goalie but last night he played on the field and I was mighty impressed, he even scored an awesome goal.

Since my last post I also had a birthday which was great. My family came over for cake and ice cream and I received some lovely presents. And my lovely Joaquin took me out on the town to a very nice dinner and a much needed night away.

Love you all!! Take Care!

School, School and More School

I have been sooo busy the last month. Just a few weeks ago I had some problems with my computer, a problem with Norton Anti Virus that I have been trying to get off of my computer for like a year now but the damn think digs its way in there. Anyway I was having some problems and my Microsoft Office programs wouldn't work so I'm trying all this stuff to fix this and anyway to make a long story short I dragged a folder to recycle bin and after that continued to EMPTY my recycle bin. Do you know what that folder was called "School", Yes that's right all my accounting homework that I had done all semester long which isn't due till the final on June 22nd. I tried everything to get it all back but couldn't, I lost everything! Hours and hours of spreadsheets, it was a complete nightmare. I sat in my chair and cried, Joaquin comes in "What wrong?" "I lost everything!" After I explained to him my problem he continues to say "Don't cry it's not that bad" Yeah easy for him to say, He was very supportive though. Well it's now three days till June 22nd and I have completed all of my homework.....again, this time I have printed everything out. I know that if my Aunt Cindy is reading this she is thinking "Buy a Mac" Yeah, yeah, yeah!!

Tyler is doing great as always. He recently went to the doctors to get weighed he now is at 17lbs and 10oz, he is one big boy which explains why back always hurts. He is teething like crazy, and eating cereal every night for dinner. He loves his cereal, I have never seen a baby eat the whole spoon full and not spit any of it out, but he does. He has now learned to grunt when he is mad and scream to get your attention, not cry but scream! He is a great baby!

I hope to post more when school is out, next week will be the end and I'm so excited about summer. I really need a break from school! Hope everyone is well!

Redding

Well last weekend we all went to Redding. "We all" = Joaquin, Tyler, My dad, Dean, and of course myself. This was Joaquin's first trip to Redding so he asks me a week before we are going "Do I need to get some shots?" LOL. That boy is hilarious. So we all pile into my car with my dad and Dean all squeezed in the back which was a little funny because we got to hear them complain how much they needed to stretch when we stopped, I don't see what the big deal is, I was fine. :) The weekend was so busy we were trying so hard to see everyone, remember none of these people have seen the wonderful Tyler yet. So with all the running around that we did I am so happy to be home, not only for me but the ride was hard on poor little Tyler. When we stopped on the way home to drop of Dean at home, Tyler was litteraly growling and grunting at me. He was not a happy camper, he was starting to get cramped sitting in that little chair. I have no pictures to share of this trip, however I have one that my grandma took a couple weeks back that I just saw for the first time today so I will share that one:

I love this picture. I love this carrier, it really keeps Tyler happy! So school will be out for the summer shortly and hopefully then I will have more time for posts. I'm not a very good updater (Is that even a word). I hope you all got to see the pictures that Tyler had taken recently, I just picked them yesterday so everyone should get one shortly. I'm working on it!!!

Ok....It's been awhile!

Theresa was nice enough to let me know today that it has been awhile since I wrote anything so I figured now would be a good time.

Lets see!! Little Tyler is teething, he already has two teeth coming in that have been coming in now for a couple weeks. They are on top in back on each side, no...not in front (Isn't that weird) Leave it up to my kid. Like I keep telling everyone the only reason he is getting teeth already is because he wants some good food, he is sick of this milk stuff! :)

So now everything goes in his mouth, he hasn't figured out how to grab his toys yet but if you put one in his hand it will find its way to his mouth. Also when he is sitting up on the bed he has learned to notice his feet, and guess what he wants those in his mouth as well. However he has no idea how to bring them to his mouth so he leans forward and brings his mouth to his feet. Its so cute.

Last night Joaquin and I went to San Francisco to see the Jersey Boys!!! It was awesome! I would recommend it to anyone. Our tickets were right Orch row E So i figured we would be about in the middle, no......we were four rows from the stage! I would pay to see that show again, and now the Jersey Boys will be here till September I think everyone should take some time to go see them. Its totally worth the money!

So.... Everything is going well here, the little man is growing faster than ever, He has a jumper to strengthen his legs which he hasn't gotten the hang of yet but loves to sit in and watch the toys. He's getting teeth, he giggles and laughs (his belly is the sensitive spot) He's a great baby!!!! Him and his daddy are very close as you can see above, sometimes I think he likes Joaquin more than he likes me :)!! Anyways....Hope to see all of you soon.

And........Go see the Jersey Boys!!

Easter

OK so I'm a little late, I understand that Easter was over a week ago but I have been meaning to write about it this whole time. Tyler's first Easter was great, of course he is to young to do an Easter Egg hunt or anything like that but I still had fun dressing him up.

Isn't he just the cutest thing!!!! I love that little boy!! So anyway even though we didn't get to do the whole egg thing we still had a great time. We got up Sunday morning and went to a nice breakfast, after breakfast we went to Church a Church that I have really been wanting to go to in Santa Clara, I'm sure you will all know which one when I tell you its the one with the huge Mary shrine. Yeah, well I'm not so excited about that church anymore. Mary is scary close up, from far away it always looked beautiful but if you get close to her the eyes are so creepy. Also we sat in the "crying room", man was that a mistake! Every ones kids were screaming and crying and poor Tyler was asleep and happy as could be till we took him into that room. So I guess I'm going to have to look for a new church!
Guess what we did next.....we went to the Gilroy outlets!! I love that place! Joaquin had to drive to Gilroy to look at a job he was going to be starting the next day and it just happened to be right there next to the outlets, so I got to thinking and was like....."Hey, Hunny......want to go shopping?" :) That was about the end of our Easter, It was actually great, however I cant wait until next year when we can do the egg hunt, he will be sooooo cute!!!
Just so you all know, I got 100% on those finals I was so worried about and have already started new classes (which is why I'm so busy), this quarter I'm taking Spanish (I'm going to need it) and Accounting 1A! I'm always running around trying to get everything done, and my weekends are packed with grocery shopping and homework!!

Meeting Family and Finding Hands

Oh its been so busy lately I cant even think. The last week of school always seems to hurt more than any other week. So lets see, besides working on reports and studying for a final I still spend every free moment with that smiling little boy. On Saturday I took Tyler over to meet his second cousin (Isha), everyone was all very excited to see him but somehow he didn't seem as excited. He was hardly in the visiting mood, however that's not because he didn't care he is just moody when things are out of the ordinary for him and being out of the house that day really messed up his plans. :)

As you can see Isha was a great sport about the whole thing. I'm sure Tyler was just happy to hear that she could speak the same language as him, I wonder if he understood that her cry was about him? Also if you look closer in the picture you will see that Isha's neck is very red, guess who that is from......yes that's right its from Tyler, don't worry I did cut his nails that night.

Monday night I came home from work and was playing with him on my bed and I have pillows with beads on them. Well Tyler figured out that he could hit those beads and they would move and make noise, this kept him busy for several minutes and it is so neat to watch him discover things with his hands. Oh yeah, I took a picture of this too!!!! :)

OK well back to work for me. Just thought I would post a little update! Everyone pray for me and these darn finals, they are driving me crazy!!!

How to get a baby to sleep

Here is my cute boy!! This is Tyler Friday evening after I had gotten home from work, we had a wonderful evening. He is really starting to enjoy his changing table; I think it has something to do with all the light in his room and the window right above him. He laid there and smiled and made new sounds at me for at least 30 minutes while I took pictures. I certainly enjoy this time with him; I wish he was always a happy baby like this.

Then there came Saturday night, little man was awake from 1am to 4am for no reason at all. Man oh man how I miss sleep, I was stressing out. It is so easy to get stressed out when you are sleep deprived. However no matter how stressed out I get I cant help but laugh in the middle of the night when I see him looking up at me with those big beautiful eyes like “What’s wrong mom, isn’t it time to get up and play” : ) !!

That kid is so funny sometimes!

Now I have taken a new approach to his sleeping. What I have learned is: If I give him a bath in the evening he cries, not the whole time but most of the time (my kid doesn’t like his clothes off). Crying is hard for this little guy therefore that and the warm water makes him tired.
Sooo: Bath = Crying + Hot Water = Tired + Sleep for everyone!

So here is Tyler last night and guess what, he only woke up once last night which means a very happy mommy here. He woke up a happy boy this morning, we laid on the bed and smiled and made noises together before I went to work. These are the moments I love!

~A Blog~

Ok everyone I have now decided its time to get up on somthing new in the world....A Blog! So Here I am, I need a place to write updates about the little man at home (Tyler) and the little things that happen in my life, I guess all I really need is my own spot! So thats why I'm here, this is my new place to get away!
